Litehouse
Litehouse is an Experience Management Platform that will create, manage, and scale tomorrow’s smart city, stadium, and destination experiences. It began as interactive and immersive physical experiences with rich media marketing campaigns and is now becoming an integrated platform for deeply engaging customer experiences across connected spaces; physical, digital, and virtual. Litehouse will provide the end-to-end orchestration of data, systems, and applications to manage connected spaces as an integrated technology platform for The Anaheim Ducks, Honda Center Arena, and upcoming OCVIBE district.
Role
We’re seeking an experienced Sr Data Architect to join our Data Platform Engineering team. Our team is responsible for enabling clients like the Honda Center and Anaheim Ducks data and analytics needs by providing a platform with a rich set of data and tools to leverage.
As a Sr. Data Architect, you will focus on the big picture and the finer details of our data strategy. You will work closely with other architects, data engineers, product managers, and DevOps leaders to align the data architecture with the overall business goals and objectives. Your primary responsibility is to develop a cohesive data architecture that supports the organization’s long-term vision as a data platform. You design efficient data storage structures, data models, standards, and optimize data retrieval for reporting, analytics, and AI purposes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Architect the Data Platform for Litehouse in conjunction with the Product and Engineering Teams
- Contribute to building robust data-rich features for connected Sports and Entertainment venues.
- Development of cloud data platforms and business intelligence solutions, including both data pipelines and data warehouses/databases.
- Collaborate with internal departments to define the strategic data architecture vision, roadmap, and improve processes, data detail, and business applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data solutions align with business objectives
- Partner with clients to solve complex business problems; identify and develop cloud data and analytics solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams
- Document developed data solutions, future-state recommendations, including data architecture concepts to team members and clients.
- Ingest, wrangle, and surface heterogeneous data sources for exploring and discovering new insights for key client business problems.
- Develop data solutions with a best-tool-for-the-situation approach, learning new tools and technologies on the fly as needed.
- Drive continuous data transformation to minimize technical debt
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data technologies
- Lead the implementation of data governance and best practices for data management
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with over 10 years of Data Architecture and Data Engineering experience, including team leadership
- Proficiency in a variety of technologies: SQL, Bash, Python, Spark, Azure, Terraform, DataOps, DevSecOps, Data Streaming, Data Stacks, and Data Lakes
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling
- Expertise in Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse)
- Capable of working with data in Azure AI Services (e.g. AI Studio, OpenAI)
- Demonstrated experience using data processing tools, such as Airflow, Spark, dbt, Databricks
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud-based data solutions
- Exposure to analytics techniques using ML and AI to assist data scientists and analysts in deriving insights from data
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on teamwork and knowledge sharing
- Experience with Ticketmaster data a plus
